Founded in 1996, Kossuth County C.A.R.E. Team has made tremendous impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the Kossuth County community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in. The C.A.R.E. Team
We have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Kossuth County C.A.R.E. Team, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization. The C.A.R.E Team is open Mondays 9-12 and 1-3pm Wednesdays 9-12 and 1-4pm and Fridays 9-12 and 1-3pm. We are located at 109 North Lantry St. in Algona.
Food Pantry
The local food pantry provides nutritious food options for families in the county. The pantry serves approximately 450 families a month throughout Kossuth County. The Food Pantry is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Sign up for the Food Pantry is super easy-- just bring in proof of address. Which can be copy of lease, bill, ID, Etc.
The food pantry is located at:
1426 E Commercial St, Algona
Sign up and vouchers are available at the food pantry during their open hours.
Yearly sign up for the food pantry starts July 1st. EVERYONE must present proof of address before a voucher will be given out. It is a once a year sign up
Registration forms can be filled out in the office during open hours.

Loving Hands Nursery
Loving Hands Nursery (LHN) is a free part time child care service. Their open 3 days a week for 3 hours. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00am - 11:30am.
This is wonderful program that is exclusive to Kossuth County. They serve children 8 weeks up to 5 years. They provide child engagement, craft activities, and a healthy snack.

Donate
Donations can be clothing, household items, furniture, etc. Donations are accepted during our open hours which are posted above. We currently DO NOT accept: ironing boards, sofa beds / hide -a-bed sofas, entertainment centers, large desks, china hutches.
Monetary donations are always welcome. We encourage friends to use our secure online portal for donations.
